Due to the heavy rainfall over the last few days the Airfield will be closed on Tuesday 05/11/19 & Wednesday 06/11/19 to all aircraft & vehicle movements. We aim to reopen airfield on Thursday 07/11/19.
However the club is still open and simulator & ground school training is available.

The Scottish Gliding Union Ltd was formed in 1938 and is now one of the busiest gliding clubs in the UK. We operate 364 days per year at the Scottish Gliding Centre, located on Portmoak Airfield, near Kinross.
We have a new vacancy for a Caterer/Housekeeper at our friendly Gliding Club. We are changing the way we provide the catering & hospitality service for our club members and visitors, and are looking for an enthusiastic individual, preferably with that background, to join and become a key part of our team, and the club. This is a great opportunity to help shape and ensure the success of these changes, as we develop this new role. Other duties will include: looking after the accommodation; cleaning; and taking part in running the bar. You will report to the Club Manager. This is a full-time post working 5 days per week including weekends.
As these changes become established you will be involved in recruiting the additional staff that will be required. Some managerial experience would be helpful, with a positive, can-do attitude being essential to provide the friendly service expected. Any necessary training can be provided.
Starting salary £19,000
Position: Full time permanent
