Air Experience 2022 – Season now finished

We have enjoyed a successful Air Experience season this summer and feel delighted to have been able to share our sport with so many. Each year, we run trial flights of 20 or 40 minutes between mid-April and mid-September to allow people the opportunity to see why we love our special form of aviation.

In 2022 we flew a total duration of 172 hours equating to 355 launches using both our aero tow and winch launch methods. To put this into perspective, the total height combined would be 851,500 feet or over halfway to the International Space Station.

A total of 29 of our volunteer instructors contributed with special mention going to Ramsay Leuchars, Mark Bradford, Mike Forster, Matt Stickland, and Richard Lucas each of whom did over 20 each. We wouldn’t be able to operate these evenings without the help of our fantastic ground handlers, tug pilots, supervising instructors, meet & greeters, winch drivers, admin staff, and all others who contributed to the evenings.

Bookings for the 2023 season will become available via the website to book at the start of 2023. Please remember to keep an eye on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) for an update on when these go live.

We look forward to welcoming you all back again from mid-April 2023.
