The webcam and weather page has been 'adjusted' so the current situation displays rather than a replay.
Update: the patching is finished.
The B920 is at last getting patched, but there will be road closures to facilitate this. Full information is on the Road Closures page.
I have added links to the Pilot's Area for the new Flysafe reporting tool, and Kate's slides from her talk given on 30th March 2018
Alan Boyle will be delivering his excellent and inimitable field landing talk on the 26 January.
Meals are available beforehand, please contact Donna if you want one.
Congratulations to Martin Phillimore and Freddie Bull who completed there BI course at PMK yesterday. 17th Dec 2017. We also believe that at 16 years 5 months, Freddie might be the youngest person to become a BGA Instructor.
The Courier has published an article "Gliding: The joy of being in complete harmony with the environment" in which "Michael Alexander speaks to lifelong glider pilot Santiago Cervantes about his passion for taking to the skies." There are plenty of photos!
At the board meeting on Saturday 2nd December 2017 we decided to extend the Student membership to everyone 26 or younger and change its name to Young Persons Membership.
There is now no requirement to be in full time education to receive the reduced fees. This means that members who are currently 26 or younger and are full members will get a reduction in their fees.
The Cadet and Youth memberships don't change.
I can't keep up. Pete Williams and Jim Thomson finished the paperwork late on Sunday and it has flown today, Tuesday 28th November.
FUS was rigged on Sunday 26th Nov by Jim Thomson plus some helpers, and is now back in its hanger bay. This means FFY is also back in its own bay.
There is some paperwork for it's annual & ARC to be completed before it can fly but that day is very close!
Section 3 governs badge flights, and both OOs and anyone contemplating a badge flight (especially Silver distance) should read this.
